The Role

Are you experienced in sausage manufacturing or factory work? Do you have a keen eye for detail and a commitment to high-quality production? Join our growing team, a well-established manufacturer dedicated to producing top-quality products for our customers.

We are looking for a Sausage Manufacturer and Factory Operative to contribute to our successful operations.

In this role, you will play a key part in our production process. You will be involved in making sausages from start to finish, ensuring top quality and adhering to food safety regulations. You’ll also support day-to-day factory operations to maintain efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Sausage Production:

• Prepare and mix ingredients, including meat, spices, and casings.
• Operate sausage-making machines (stuffing, linking, and cutting).
• Ensure sausages meet production standards for size and quality.
• Monitor chilling processes and maintain food safety standards.
• Pack sausages and other products according to packaging guidelines.
• Perform quality control checks on raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods.

Factory Operative Duties:

• Assist with the general operations of the factory, ensuring cleanliness and organisation.
• Operate additional machinery and tools during production.
• Support colleagues across various departments, including packaging, storage, and shipping.
• Handle manual tasks such as lifting, loading, and unloading raw materials and products.
• Follow all health and safety guidelines to maintain a safe environment.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment.
• Help with stock control and inventory management.

The Person

• Experience in food manufacturing or factory work, particularly in meat production, is preferred.
• Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.
• Ability to operate and maintain sausage-making equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality output.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
• Flexibility and a positive, can-do attitude.
