Summary

Communicate complex and sensitive financial information to prescribers and practice managers about their performance against budgets, standards and targets. Support & contribute to the development and of internal and external communications, such as prescribing alerts by regular contact with the teams, stakeholders and Communications team. Demonstrate advanced computer skills using a range of Microsoft (MS) applications, including but not exclusive to Word, Excel, Outlook, MS Teams and PowerPoint. Regularly use advanced computer skills to utilise GP clinical systems to gather, analyse and interpret patient related prescribing and clinical data. To supplement this with information from patient's Lloyd George paper records if needed, in order to undertake clinical audits arising from the primary care, Medicines Optimisation work streams and priority areas in line with current local and national guidelines. Requires the ability to identify errors and/or near misses as well as identifying opportunities for optimisation of medicines. Review, develop, implement and audit practice repeat prescribing systems. Monitor standards and give support where needed e.g. supporting projects within GP surgeries to implement patient led ordering. Manage own work plans for individual GP practices to ensure accurate delivery of areas of the Medicines Optimisation work programme
