To undertake 4 view mammography for the screening and symptomatic services and to produce mammograms of optimum quality, maintaining a quality experience for the patient while adhering to time constraints To supervise and participate in the practical training of student mammographers and/or other medical staff, as required, within the trust To participate in a flexible working pattern in order to meet working demands, in particular to be prepared to participate in evening/weekend lists if required To be able to check relevant clinical history, whilst also explaining the procedure, gaining consent, informing and advising the patient in a timely manner To provide relevant clinical information and support to women, especially during assessment and diagnostic sessions To work to, having full knowledge and understanding of, NHSBSP guidelines and quality standards To work to, contribute to and adhere to national and local protocols To communicate in an understanding, sympathetic and professional manner with all clients, patients, members of staff and the general public To ensure that the Trusts Health and Safety Policies are understood and observed and that procedures are followed To adhere to the Trust's Values and behaviours Quality and Audit To produce mammograms of optimum quality, maintaining a quality experience for the patient while adhering to time constraints To work to national and local protocols and procedures, but to contribute to modification and improvements to protocols and procedures To work to, having full knowledge and understanding of, NHSBSP guidelines and quality standards To participate in the QA Programme, undertaking daily, weekly and monthly testing of all equipment, ensuring optimum conditions are in place before commencing clinical work
