A Vacancy at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
• Deliver high-quality teaching sessions across undergraduate and/or postgraduate programmes.
• Facilitate complex communication skills session (e.g., breaking bad news, safeguarding, consent).
• Deliver small group tutorials, simulated patient sessions, and reflective debriefs organised by the senior tutors
• Contribute to the strategic development and continuous improvement of communication curricula.
• Create and review learning materials, e-learning content, and OSCE scenarios.
• Ensure curriculum alignment with GMC Outcomes for Graduates and professional competencies.
• Provide tailored guidance to students with persistent communication difficulties.
• Deliver targeted support for underperforming or struggling students.
• Use coaching techniques to develop student confidence and self-reflection.
As a CRCS tutor, the main duties are:
1. Teaching (facilitation) of clinical reasoning and communication skills (CRCS) for undergraduate medical students
2. Development of teaching and resources for the CRCS curriculum
3. Faculty Board Examiner (assessment of students)
4. Expertise and breadth of clinical knowledge & teaching
5. Quality assurance of teaching
