School Crossing Patrol Officer

6.66 hours per week

£27,090 - £27,340 pro rata / £14.04 - £14.17 per hour (including Distant Islands Allowance)

A School Crossing Patrol Officer is required to supervise a crossing point in Kirkwall. The normal working week is restricted to opening and closing times of Papdale Primary School, with a 40 minute shift in the morning and afternoon.

We are looking for a punctual, trustworthy, honest individual who has a genuine interest in children's safety to join our team. School Crossing Patrol Officers are employed to help children cross busy roads on their journeys to and from school.

No formal qualifications are necessary, but it is essential that you have an understanding of health and safety issues, knowledge of road safety, and experience of working with children.

All uniform and equipment will be supplied.

This post is subject to Level 2 Disclosure Check with PVG for working in a regulated role with children.
