Location: Raunds, Northamptonshire
Salary: Up to £44,000 per annum
Hours: Monday to Friday 08:00 - 17:30
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

We’re looking for a skilled HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic or HGV Fitter to join a well-equipped and supportive workshop in the Raunds area. This is a permanent, full-time role offering great earning potential, regular technical training and a long-term career path.
Key Responsibilities of an HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / HGV Fitter
• Service and repair HGVs and trailers to DVSA standards
• Diagnose faults and complete repairs efficiently using systems like HALDEX, WABCO and KNORR BREMSE
• Accurately complete job cards, inspection sheets, and service records
• Participate in ongoing product and compliance training
• Maintain a safe, clean and organised working environment
• Deliver excellent customer service in a time-critical setting
Skills and Qualifications for an HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / HGV Fitter
Essential
• Previous experience with trucks and trailers
• NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance
Desirable
• HGV Class 1 licence
• IRTEC accreditation
• EBS diagnostics experience (Knorr Bremse, Haldex, WABCO)
• Axle system knowledge (BPW, SAF, JOST)
• Tail lift service experience
