Temporary Works Designer & Project Manager

Location: Edinburgh (with travel across the UK)
Salary: £34,000 – £40,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Contract: Permanent, full-time
Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 09:00 – 17:00
Leave: 30 days (including bank holidays)
Driving Licence: Required

Are you a creative problem-solver with a passion for engineering design and project delivery? We are currently working with a third-party client seeking a Temporary Works Designer & Project Manager to join their close-knit and innovative team in Edinburgh.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is eager to take on a diverse and hands-on role, going beyond design to manage the full project lifecycle – from concept through to client handover.

Key Responsibilities:

- Engage with clients to understand project requirements and develop concept design solutions
- Attend client meetings (virtually and on-site across the UK)
- Produce temporary works drawings in line with project specifications
- Provide quotations based on the designs you’ve developed
- Work collaboratively with internal teams to support project delivery and client satisfaction

Required Skills & Experience:

- 3+ years’ experience using Inventor, 3D CAD, or BIM
- Strong planning and teamwork skills
- Advanced Higher, HND, or Degree-level qualification in maths, physics, or engineering
- Valid UK driving licence

Desirable Skills:

- Scaffold design and/or temporary works design experience
- Project management experience
- Background in civil engineering or civil design
