Looking for Class 1 Palletised Work?
We’re on the lookout for a reliable and committed Class 1 Driver to join a busy and growing team based in Ilkeston, with an immediate start available. This role involves palletised deliveries across the UK, making for straightforward and efficient runs.
You’ll typically carry out one drop and one collection per shift. Some routes may take you further afield or lead into the following day’s run, so you should be prepared for nights out, usually around three per week, with £30 paid per night.
There’s no manual handling involved, as all goods are palletised. However, after receiving forklift training (which we’ll provide if you don’t already have a licence), you may occasionally be asked to unload your vehicle.
To be considered for this role, you must have at least 3 years of Class 1 driving experience and meet the following requirements:
• A valid Class 1 (HGV) Driving Licence
• A valid Digital Tachograph Card
• A current UK CPC qualification
• A forklift licence is preferred but not essential – full training will be provided if needed
Ongoing work with opportunity to go permanent.
This is a Monday to Friday role with start times varying depending on the run, though most shifts begin around 7:30 AM. Each shift lasts around 8 to 10 hours, and you’ll always be paid for a minimum of 8 hours. Please note, night outs may be required 3 to 4 times per week.
The rate of pay is £18.15 per hour when paid through our Umbrella provider.
Alternatively, if you choose to be paid via PAYE, the base rate is £15.00 per hour. In addition, we offer full pay for 28 days of annual leave, which brings the effective hourly rate to £16.81 including holiday accrual.
Night out payments are £30 per night.
