Are you an experienced educator working in the fields of politics and international relations? We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our dynamic and ambitious School as a University Teacher.
The School of Sociological Studies, Politics and International Relations at the University of Sheffield is one of the most vibrant and successful centres for teaching and research in the UK. Following significant grant capture, the School is now seeking to appoint a 0.6 FTE University Teacher for 18 months to cover teaching, including delivery, coordination, and assessment of modules, at undergraduate and postgraduate levels in Politics and International Relations.
We would like to hear from you if you are working in International Relations (broadly defined) with the ability to teach core concepts and theories as well as subfields such as peacekeeping, gender relations, race and racism, state building and/or international security.
You will hold a PhD in Politics and/or International Relations or a cognate discipline. Evidence of teaching excellence, reflexivity, and a student-centred teaching philosophy will be essential and the applicant is expected to have experience of and enthusiasm for delivering university teaching to a high standard. The successful candidate will have access to mentoring and support as well as time for their own educational research.
