Paint Sprayer / Workshop Operative / Driver
(Rate of pay based on experience & Skills)
Permanent position immediate start Available.
39 hrs per week
Mon to Thur - 0800 – 1700
Friday – 0800 - 1300
We are hoping to hire a motivated candidate that wants to progress their career who already has some experience in working in a steel fabrication or factory environment.
Mercian Weldcraft are a long-established 2nd generation family business located in Aldridge, West Midlands and have been operating since 1958.
We manufacture bespoke formwork products and other construction related equipment and additionally provide subcontract laser cutting, pressing and fabrications.
Day to day each job and project is varied and diverse and with current workloads increasing we are looking to increase our team.
Required Skills and Experiences –
1. Full UK Driving license (Ability to load and unload small truck/van with goods and secure loads and undertake local pickups and deliveries when required)
2. Painting of steel fabrications (Be able to prepare fabrications for painting and use of spray gun to apply a primer coat of paint to fabrications)
3. Factory Assistance ( Press Brake operation, Cutting of steel sections, part preparation, drilling holes, assembly of components and keeping areas tidy and clean)
4. Forklift / Overhead Crane Experience (Previous experience in use of counterbalance forklifts for loading unloading vehicles. Previous Experience using over head crane for moving of fabrications and loading and unloading of vehicles.)
On the job training is available for areas where skills need to be developed.
Successful candidates must have the right to work in the UK, and also a Full UK Driving License is required.
Forklift and Overhead crane license / certificates are desirable but experience will be accepted.
