Are you enthusiastic, friendly, and passionate about creating a fun, safe, and welcoming environment for children and families? The Beach Hut Soft Play Centre is looking for a versatile and reliable team member who can take on dual responsibilities as a Playcentre Assistant and Cook. (Part time hours. Must be available of a weekend and between the hours of 9.15am-6.30pm on a rota basis)

Our centre caters to children aged 0–11, offering exciting soft play areas, special events, and party packages. We are open 7 days a week and pride ourselves on providing exceptional customer service, safe play, and delicious food.

Key Responsibilities

Cook Duties:
- Prepare and present meals from our appetising menu, ensuring quality and portion control.
- Strictly adhere to customer allergy and intolerance requirements.
- Monitor stock levels, food freshness, expiry dates, and kitchen supplies.
- Maintain a Food Hygiene 5* Rating and follow all food safety regulations.
- Keep the kitchen and food storage areas clean, safe, and functional.
- Handle pot washing and routine cleaning duties.
- Complete necessary paperwork and report maintenance issues.

Playcentre Assistant Duties:
- Deliver outstanding customer service with a smile.
- Promote parties, events, group bookings, and special offers.
- Supervise children to ensure safe play and adherence to rules.
- Clean and maintain the soft play, including toilets and dining areas.
- Handle food service, drink preparation, and cash transactions at the counter.
- Host children’s birthday parties and deliver toddler time activities or events.
- Monitor and report any equipment or maintenance issues.

General Duties:
- Adhere to risk assessments, policies, and procedures.
- Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and monthly deep cleans.
- Assist with other duties as required by the business.

What We’re Looking For

Skills & Experience:
- Catering and food preparation experience with knowledge of food hygiene regulations.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to cleanliness.
- Confidence hosting children’s events and activities.
