Teaching Assistants - SEMH Support - Rotherham
Full-Time | Part-Time | Supply Opportunities Available
Are you passionate about supporting young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? Do you thrive in a dynamic, supportive environment where no two days are the same? We're currently recruiting dedicated and resilient Teaching Assistants to join a specialist alternative provision setting in the Rotherham area.
This provision caters to secondary-aged pupils who require additional behavioural and emotional support, many of whom may have experienced challenges in mainstream education. The setting offers a nurturing and structured environment to help pupils re-engage with learning and build essential life skills.
In addition to core academic subjects, the curriculum includes a strong focus on vocational and enrichment opportunities, such as outdoor education, mechanics, catering, construction, and personal development programmes. This holistic approach ensures that every student can access learning that meets their individual needs and interests.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Proven experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs
- Valid Team Teach (or equivalent positive behaviour management) training
- A calm, patient and proactive approach to behaviour support
- A genuine commitment to improving outcomes for vulnerable learners
- Flexibility to work on a full-time, part-time, or supply basis
Whether you're looking for your next full-time challenge or flexible day-to-day work, we want to hear from you.
Apply now to make a difference in the lives of young people who need it most.
