Summary
Personal Assistant/Befriender required to assist a 13 year old boy, with a Neurological Disability living in the Dunoon area.
This young lad would like to get out and enjoy activities with someone who will befriend and mentor him. He is looking for his PA to provide encouragement and to help build his confidence.
You would be required to provide one to one care and assistance in the community with participation in social activities. Your duties would involve assisting with tasks such as:
· Going out for food
· Playing and watching football, gaming, watching movies, swimming
· Any other daily living tasks to promote independent living.
Favourite activities are playing and watching football, gaming, movies, swimming.
The most important qualities are a warm and friendly nature, someone who is good fun and has a desire to work within a caring role.
Must take a proactive and innovative approach to support and encourage individual to be involved in activities suited to their needs.
Good interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
Driver with a Full UK Driving Licence is essential and you will be required to use your own vehicle – mileage allowance will be paid
Experience is preferred but personal experience of care or autism, will be considered.
Recruiting for 1 position.
Guaranteed permanent position of 5.5 hours per week
EXAMPLE
Saturday or Sunday: 12:00pm – 5:30pm
Hours after school may be required.
The hours can be split and employer is flexible.
