We're looking for a kind, calm, and consistent Personal Assistant to support a disabled, neurodivergent woman in Rosyth. This role involves no personal care, but the support offered is personal in nature, and the client feels safest working with a woman.
About the Role:
You’ll support our client to:
• Maintain structure and build positive routines
• Reduce isolation and engage with the community
• Attend fitness activities, like going to the gym
• Run errands (e.g. shopping, picking up prescriptions)
• Keep appointments and work toward small recovery goals
Our client lives with multiple chronic and mental health conditions, including Autism, ADHD, Bipolar disorder, PTSD, POTS, FND, and Agoraphobia. She’s looking for someone emotionally aware, grounded, and supportive.
About You:
• Experience working with neurodivergent individuals is essential
• You're a driver with access to a car (£0.45 paid per mile)
• You're supportive, patient, flexible, and steady
• You understand the importance of emotional safety and gentle encouragement
PVG Membership Requirement:
Please note that under the new legal requirements effective from April 2025, all Personal Assistants must be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme.
If you're not already a member, you must be willing to apply and successfully register before starting the role. SDS Options Fife will support applicants through the PVG application process if needed.
To apply, please send your CV quoting reference SDS/LW/312574 to recruitment@sdsoptionsfife.org.uk or by post to SDS Options (Fife), DPHS Fife, Caledonia House, Pentland Park, Saltire Centre, Glenrothes, KY6 2AQ
