Are you a detail-driven finance professional with a passion for tax compliance and process improvement?



We're looking for a Financial Accountant – Tax to join our dynamic and values-led team, where you’ll play a vital role in
developing and delivering an efficient, compliant, and forward-thinking tax function across our Group.



As the Financial Accountant – Tax, you’ll be at the heart of our financial compliance operations, leading on tax compliance and
reporting while supporting strategic improvements that make a real difference to the Group and our communities.



You’ll ensure our tax obligations are met accurately and on time, while providing expert advice and insight to internal
stakeholders. Your role will involve close collaboration with the wider finance team, external tax advisors, and HMRC, as well as
supporting system improvements and robust control processes.



What you'll be doing:




* Lead tax compliance activity across the Group for VAT, Corporation Tax, CIS and SDLT.
* Ensure timely and accurate submission of all tax returns, including VAT, CIS, and Corporation Tax.
* Lead the preparation and submission of Group tax computations and act as key liaison with external tax advisors.
* Provide high-quality tax advice and support across the Group, identifying opportunities for tax efficiencies and supporting
implementation.
* Lead negotiations with HMRC, resolving queries and ensuring compliance with current legislation.
* Support the production of Group and subsidiary financial statements, including all tax-related schedules for audit.
* Contribute to the review and implementation of tax-compliant financial systems and controls.
* Maintain and improve tax-related policies, controls, and processes to protect the Group’s resources.
* Keep the organisation informed of changes to tax legislation and support internal understanding.
* Champion continuous improvement and service excellence in all aspects of tax reporting and compliance.



What we're looking for:




* Professional accountancy qualification, e.g. CIPFA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent tax qualification.
* Strong technical knowledge of UK tax regulations, including VAT, Corporation Tax, CIS, and SDLT.
* Thorough knowledge of tax in a social housing environment.
* Evidence of and commitment to continual professional, leadership and personal development.
