Are you a hands-on, practical individual with a passion for audio visual support and customer service? Oxford University, Oxford Lifelong Learning is seeking to appoint an Assistant Maintenance and Classroom Technician to join our dynamic Facilities Team.

About the role
This is a full-time position, available on a permanent contract.
Key responsibilities of the role include:
Prepare and set up teaching rooms for a wide variety of courses.
Provide and support the use of audio-visual (AV) equipment across our sites.
Respond to general maintenance requests and ensure smooth daily operations.
Assist in maintaining safe, functional, and welcoming environments for students, staff, and guests.

Hours of work:
You will work 5 days out of 7. Your working pattern will be:
Monday–Thursday: 07:30–19:30
Friday: 07:30–18:30
Saturday and Sunday: 07:30–15:30

You will be based at Rewley House in central Oxford, with additional work at other University sites in the city and in Summertown.

About you
You will have:

Practical skills and a “can-do” approach to facilities and technical support.
Basic experience with audio-visual equipment (training can be provided).
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage varied daily tasks.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, and weekends as part of a shift pattern.
