Overview:

We are seeking a proactive and compassionate Peripatetic Manager to provide leadership and operational support across our supported living services for adults with learning disabilities, autism and other neurodivergent profiles. You’ll work across multiple locations, stepping in during times of change, to assist with inspection readiness, service improvement, manager development and mentoring or filling temporary management gaps. Your mission is to ensure high-quality, person-centered support that empowers individuals to lead fulfilling, independent lives.

Responsibilities:

Service Leadership & Management:

Provide interim management to supported living services as required, maintaining continuity of leadership.
Ensure services meet or exceed regulatory standards and best practice guidelines (CQC or equivalent, REACH standards).
Implement and maintain quality assurance processes, audits and action plans.
Provide practice leadership to staff in person centered ways of working.

Operational Support:

Quickly assess and respond to operational issues, offering practical solutions.
Assist in setting up new services or turning around underperforming ones.
Work with regional and senior management to ensure services meet budget, staffing and support objectives.

Compliance & Safeguarding:

Ensure all services operate in line with current legislation, safeguarding procedures and organisational policies.
Maintain up-to-date care plans, risk assessments and service records.
Liaise with relatives and external stakeholders as needed.

People Management:

Support recruitment, induction, supervision and performance management of staff.
Act as a role model and coach to new or developing managers.
Contribute to the development of a positive and inclusive working environment.
Support, mentor and develop local staff teams to deliver high-quality, person-centered care.

Qualifications:

Essential Requirements:

- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care (or equivalent).
- Strong experience managing services for adults with learning disabilities, autism and complex needs in supported living settings.
- Sound understanding of neurodiversity, including autism, ADHD and sensory processing differences.
- Demonstrated knowledge of CQC regulations, safeguarding protocols and relevant legislation.
- Excellent leadership, staff development and communication skills.
- Ability to travel across the region and work flexibly when needed.
- Full UK driving licence, own car and business insurance.

Desirable Experience:

- Background in service and quality improvement.
- Familiarity with supported living funding models, REACH Standards, tenancy rights and independent living frameworks.
