Job Purpose:I am an 11-year-old girl who is looking for a female Personal Assistant (due to some personal care element (Schedule 9, P1 of the Equality Act 2010 applies) to support me with various activities. I am autistic and classed as nonverbal, however, I can say some words. I am now starting to communicate using sign language which I enjoy.
I have high sensory needs which are fulfilled around water/messy play, so enjoy swimming and also have sensory needs around motions such as spinning so enjoy trips to the park or soft play areas.
The ideal candidate would have experience of SEND or an Educational background.You would support me with my sensory needs by taking me to places of interest. Some basic signing would be an advantage.
I would like you to be bubbly and outgoing to compliment my personality. Occasionally you need to to patient with me when if I disregulate. Ideally you would be a driver with your own car.Location: Norwich, NR5

Person specificationEssential:SEND/education background, experience with supporting someone with AutismOutgoing and bubblyCaring and compassionateFlexibleDesirable:Sign language knowledge/experienceSummary terms and conditions:· The rate of pay for this position is £12.38 per hour· Hours and times of work: 5 hours per week, weekends, either Saturday or Sunday – exact day and and times will be agreed in advance.· The annual holiday entitlement for this position will be equivalent to the work I would normally expect to be done during 5.6 consecutive weeks.· This position requires the employee to complete the following free annual training: GDPR, Health and Safety, First Aid and Autism. Post is subject to the following:· A satisfactory enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check, the cost of which will be covered by the employer.· Satisfactory references from two referees, one of which must be your current or last employer.· Completion of a satisfactory probationary period of 6 months.
