Are you a data-driven logistics professional with a passion for process improvement and team leadership? Müller Milk & Ingredients Distribution is looking for a Returnable Assets Manager to join our dynamic logistics team on a 12-month fixed-term contract.

- Location: Any Müller Site (UK-wide) / Field Based (with regular travel and overnight stays)
- Department: Logistics – Müller Milk & Ingredients Distribution
- Reports to: Senior Stocks, Process and Assets Manager
- Contract: Full Time / Join Us on a 12-Month Fixed-Term Basis — with the Potential to Grow into a Permanent Role
- Shift: Monday – Friday (40 hours)


About the Role:
As Returnable Assets Manager, you will lead a team of asset repatriation agents and take full ownership of Müller’s returnable assets strategy. Your mission: reduce asset losses, enhance operational efficiency, and drive cost-saving initiatives across our UK network.

Returnable Assets Manager Key Responsibilities:

- Analyse and report on asset stock levels, losses, and trends
- Lead depot asset reviews and implement improvement plans
- Deliver training on trolley and pallet control across all sites
- Manage procurement and logistics of annual asset purchases
- Ensure legal compliance of LGV operations and driver standards
- Build relationships with internal teams, suppliers, and competitors
- Present KPIs and progress updates to senior leadership
- Support legal action against misuse of Müller property


People Leadership:

- Directly manage and develop a team of asset repatriation agents
- Conduct regular performance reviews and set clear objectives
- Collaborate with site managers and shop floor teams to improve asset handling


Returnable Assets Manager Skills & Experience:

- Strong analytical and numerical skills
- Experience in logistics, asset management, or supply chain operations
- Confident decision-maker with a problem-solving mindset
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Willingness to travel and stay overnight as required
