Clinical Skills Trainer - 6-Month Fixed Term Contract
Location: North West England
Days: 2 days per week: Mondays and Tuesdays
Rate: £275 per day (inclusive of travel and expenses)
Our client is a vibrant, well-established healthcare training and consultancy company founded in 2017. They are proud to hold the Skills for Health Quality Mark, ISO 9001:2015 certification, and CPD accreditation. Their work centres on improving clinical skills, patient safety, and the overall quality of care.
They are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Clinical Skills Trainer to join the team on a 6-month fixed-term contract (2 days per week: Mondays and Tuesdays), delivering training to one of their valued NHS clients in the North West.
The Role
You will be responsible for delivering high-quality, hands-on clinical skills training sessions in partnership with the trust's internal team. The role requires a strong understanding of:
- Anatomy and physiology of the vascular system
- Safe and accurate IV placement (supported by manikin training)
- Venepuncture and IV cannulation techniques
- Common clinical pitfalls and best practices in a real-world setting
This is a hands-on role requiring someone who can confidently deliver training with minimal onboarding—you will receive two shadow sessions before taking the lead.
What They're Looking For
They are seeking candidates with:
- A strong clinical background in ICU, Vascular Access, or Phlebotomy
- Registration as a Nurse, Midwife, ODP, or Paramedic
- Teaching or supervisory experience (ideally holding a Level 3 teaching qualification such as AET or PTLLS)
- Practical experience using a range of equipment (particularly BD Nexiva/Posiflush and Monovette systems)
- Excellent communication, adaptability, and a high degree of autonomy
How to Apply
If you're a passionate educator who thrives in a clinical environment and can hit the ground running, our client wants to hear from you. Please submit your CV today.
