Long Ditton St Mary’s Junior School (LDSM) is seeking a hardworking and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant (TA) to join our warm and friendly team. The post is initially a fixed term contract for one year.
This is a rare opportunity to join our committed and supportive school community. We are looking for a TA who: • is committed to child protection and ensuring the well-being of each pupil;
• has high expectations of children and themselves;
• has experience of working with children in an educational setting;
• has experience of working with children with a range of educational needs;
• is patient, calm and always sensitive to the needs of children;
• is well organised and will use their initiative;
• is loyal, reliable and enthusiastic with a good sense of humour;
• is willing to support the Christian ethos of LDSM and promote our values of Love, Respect, Compassion and Aspiration.In return, we can offer you supportive and committed colleagues, who are passionate about our school and education in general. We invest in staff development and take staff well-being seriously. As a result, we have very low staff turnover. Our pupils are well-behaved, eager to learn and a joy to work with. In 2024, LDSM was judged ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted. On 1st September 2024, Long Ditton St Mary’s Junior School and Long Ditton Infant and Nursery School formed the Long Ditton Federation. Whilst initially this post will be at Long Ditton St Mary’s CE Junior School, you could also be required to work at Long Ditton Infant and Nursery School.
