Your new role
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Procurement & P2P Manager to join a values-driven charity operating across housing, care, and social impact sectors. This senior leadership role is pivotal in shaping and delivering procurement and payables strategies that support a diverse and meaningful portfolio of services.
You will lead a high-performing team, including procurement, contracting, and payables professionals, ensuring the effective delivery of procurement activities across the group. Working closely with senior stakeholders, you will align procurement strategies with organisational goals, embed social value and sustainability into procurement processes, and ensure compliance with public sector procurement regulations.
This is a hybrid role based in North Yorkshire, offering flexibility with only 1-2 days per week required in the office. You will play a key role in enhancing supplier relationships, managing complex contracts, and driving continuous improvement across systems and processes.
What you'll need to succeed
- Extensive experience in public sector procurement, including frameworks, tenders, and contract management.
- A proven track record of delivering value for money and supporting managers to achieve cost savings.
- CIPS membership or an equivalent professional qualification.
- Strong knowledge of Public Contract Regulations and experience developing procurement policies that incorporate social value.
- Demonstrable leadership skills, with the ability to mentor and develop a multidisciplinary team.
- Proficiency in e-procurement systems and supplier portals, with a focus on automation and system improvement.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
- A strategic mindset with the ability to balance operational delivery with long-term planning and innovation.
What you'll get in return
In return, you will join a purpose-led organisation that values trust, inclusion, and continuous improvement. You'll have the opportunity to make a tangible impact across housing, care, and charitable initiatives, while working in a supportive and collaborative environment.
- Competitive salary up to £54,163 per annum.
- Flexible hybrid working with only 1-2 days per week in the office.
- The chance to lead a strategic function and shape procurement practices across a diverse group.
- A strong organisational culture built on integrity, respect, and making a difference.
- Opportunities for professional development and innovation in procurement systems and strategy.
