An opportunity has arisen for a Testing Technician /Laboratory Technician to join a well-established engineering firm in the calibration industry. This full-time permanent role offers a salary range of £23,000 - £30,000 and benefits.

As a Testing Technician /Laboratory Technician, you will be working across a range of test rigs to support component testing, analysis, and reporting within a dynamic workshop environment.

You will be responsible for:

- Operating mechanical testing rigs for thermal and automotive systems

- Installing and configuring components to meet specific test conditions

- Modifying rig setups and piping systems for bespoke testing requirements

- Assisting in building test rigs to match detailed technical specifications

- Compiling test results and preparing supporting documentation in Excel

- Conducting preliminary checks of test reports for internal sign-off

- Ensuring all testing and calibration tools are in working condition

What we are looking for:

- Previously worked as a Test Technician, Quality control Technician, Laboratory Technician, testing Technician, CalibrationTechnician,Test Engineer, Engineering Technician, Teat and Calibration Technicianor in a similar role.

- Minimum 1 year of experience within a laboratory, workshop, or testing environment

- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word for data processing and documentation

- Confident using hand tools, power tools, and basic calibration equipment (spanners, screwdrivers, files, saws, grips, drills, grinder, saws etc.)

- Welding experience is advantageous
