Nursery Room Leader | From £30,000 | 40 Hours per Week

Our client, a well-established and inclusive early years service, is looking for a confident and compassionate Nursery Room Leader to join their friendly and supportive team. Offering a competitive salary starting from £30,000, and a consistent 40-hour work week, this role is ideal for a passionate early years professional ready to step into a leadership role or further develop their expertise.

As a Nursery Room Leader, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day running of one of the nursery rooms, ensuring a high standard of care and education for the children in your care. You’ll inspire and guide a small team, creating a warm, inclusive atmosphere where curiosity, development, and wellbeing are at the heart of everything you do.

What We’re Looking For

  • Level 3 or higher qualification in Early Years (or equivalent).
  • Experience working in a nursery or early years setting, ideally with some supervisory or leadership responsibility.
  • Strong knowledge of child development and the EYFS framework.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and teamwork skills.
  • A genuine passion for early years care and education.
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain).
  • Paediatric First Aid qualification (or willingness to complete training).

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team in creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment.
  • Plan, deliver, and reflect on age-appropriate activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
  • Promote positive relationships with children and their families, offering regular updates and building trust.
  • Support the individual needs of each child, helping them reach their full potential through responsive care and tailored learning.
  • Model best practice and provide day-to-day support, guidance, and supervision to team members.
  • Ensure that safeguarding, health & safety, and hygiene procedures are followed at all times.
  • Foster an inclusive culture where every child and colleague is respected and valued.
