A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced and motivated theatre team leader to join our team. on a fixed term basis.
You will specialise as a senior scrub practitioner within both obstetric and gynaecological theatres.
We are proud to have a Davinci Robot within our theatres and have two dedicated obstetric theatre night teams. Our education team are focused on ensuring staff development and opportunities, providing excellent training programmes. Training also includes a leadership and development program, aiming to create managers and leaders of the future.
We are looking for experienced, forward thinking and highly motivated staff who can take the lead, acting as a role model to junior staff and facilitating new initiatives, change and policy development. Previous obstetric experience is desirable and applicants must be able to demonstrate expertise in theatre experience and have appropriate UK professional registration.
Function as the lead practitioner for an operating theatre or a designated area, acting as a role model for the clinical team.
Demonstrate ability to function competently both as a leader and as a member of the multidisciplinary team.
Participate in the scrub rota, including the on call rota, and be the lead practitioner when on duty.
Act as a resource person to others, providing advice and support to the MDT, patients and relatives.
Assist in the management of the theatres to ensure excellence in patient care and to have responsibility for staff and service development.
Develop the clinical protocols and SOPs.
Contribute to an effective, motivated and competent workforce and ensure that high quality standards are maintained and developed. Contribute to the development of performance review in accordance with Trust policy. Be receptive to change with the Department and encourage new ideas and developments.
Demonstrate people management skills, delegation, negotiation and assertiveness as appropriate.
