Our team shape projects that connect communities and impact daily life for millions. Join our Rail team as a Road Rail Operator based out of Hither Green and build new futures. This is on a zero hour contract.

What you'll be doing

As an Road Rail Operator, you will have the following accountabilities:

  • Operating RRV’s in accordance with the safe system of work;
  • To ensure compliance with the Company’s Policies and Procedures on Health & Safety, Quality and Environmental;
  • Maintain regular communication and contact with the Project Supervisor;
  • Ensure communication from operational/maintenance staff regarding objectives and team activities;
  • Provide feedback as part of a team, to identify problems;
  • Ensure all documentation is completed as per Company policy.

Who we're looking for

The following qualities/experience are essential:

  • Experience of the operation of on track plant, or an ability and willingness to learn;
  • Have a good awareness of railway health and safety requirements;
  • Be able to make a positive contribution to a dedicated team working on high profile contracts;
  • A flexible approach to work, being prepared to work around a roster that includes nights, weekends, bank holidays and respond to short notice changes of plan;
  • An appreciation of the importance of good customer relations;
  • Able to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing and have good awareness of safety critical communication;
  • Hold a current UK driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points;
  • Hold an in date PTS and medical.

Desired competencies:

  • BTA (London Underground specific;
  • PRS (Elizabeth Line Specific);
  • DLR Track Awareness;
  • OTP Lift Planning;
  • POS & ALO Planning;
  • POS Competent;
  • ALO Co-Ordinator.
