The Reception Manager oversees the daily operations of a general practice's reception area, leading a team of receptionists to ensure smooth and efficient patient care.This role involves supervising staff, managing workflows, handling patient inquiries and contributing to the overall smooth running of the practice. Key Responsibilities: To provide day to day support, leadership and first-line management for the reception team, including staff training, including staff training, performance management, and conflict resolution. To manage patient inquiries and concerns, providing resolutions or escalating issues as necessary.Ensure effective communication between patients, clinicians, and external agencies. To plan and manage the reception rota to ensure adequate staffing, including adjusting schedules to accommodate leave and sickness. To ensure the effective use of practice IT systems, troubleshoot issues, and train new staff on relevant systems. to ensure reception processes comply with practice policies and NHS guidelines. to monitor and evaluate the quality of work within the reception team, implementing improvements as needed. to act as a point of contact between patients, clinicians, and other staff members. to assist with various administrative duties and other relevant tasks as required. to participate in health and safety audits and ensure compliance with relevant policies and procedures.
