To be a reliable member of a team, to work with flexibility and co-operation.
To develop positive relationships with parents, carers, other staff and professional agencies.
Assist with the supervision of children at play, meal and sleep times.
To understand that each child is an individual and have understanding of or be prepared to develop knowledge of childcare and child development.
To observe and record all children’s progress and achievements.
To assist with planning age appropriate activities for the children and with creating a stimulating and attractive environment.
To attend parent evenings and assist in the promotion of the nursery as required.
To attend all staff meetings and training sessions as relevant.
To assist with the care, security and maintenance of all equipment and toys within the nursery.
To be responsible for participating in self development including appraisals.
To share the responsibility for health and safety, hygiene and cleanliness throughout the nursery, including the children’s cleanliness.
To be responsible and familiar with all emergency and security procedures, eg, fire drill.
To adhere to all Company Policies and Procedures and the Equal Opportunities Policy at all times.
To undertake any reasonable other duties as requested by the Manager or Deputy.
