Your RoleAs a Domestic Assistant, you’ll play a key part in creating a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents at our Supported Housing Scheme in Preston. Your work will directly support the wellbeing and comfort of our residents, helping them to feel at home and maintain their independence.This is a part-time, site-based role offering 10 hours per week-ideal for those looking for flexibility and a better work-life balance.Your responsibilities will include:Ensuring all surface areas in communal areas, internal glazing, and staircases are cleaned to a high standard.Daily cleaning of communal toilets and walk-in showers within the complex.Regular vacuuming of the main entrance, hallways, corridors, and other shared spaces, in line with the expectations set by the Building Safety and Cleaning Coordinator.Carrying out general cleaning duties throughout the scheme, including the cleaning of empty flats to prepare them for new residents.Placing orders for cleaning materials and maintaining a regular stock take.Ensuring all cleaning equipment is well-maintained and reporting any faults or broken items to your line manager.Following all cleaning procedures and safety protocols to ensure a hygienic and secure environment for residents. What We Are Looking ForWe’re looking for someone who brings the following skills and qualities:Previous experience in cleaning, ideally in a residential or communal setting.A full driving licence and access to a vehicle, would be advantageous as travel between schemes may be required, however this is not essential.A good understanding of Health and Safety and COSHH regulations, ensuring safe and compliant working practices.The ability to follow procedures and maintain consistent, high standards of cleanliness.A calm and composed approach, especially when dealing with emergencies.Self-motivation and the ability to work independently, using your initiative to manage tasks effectively.
