We’re looking for outstanding Senior Software Engineers who have a strong background in JavaScript/Node.JS, who want to contribute to demanding and exciting digital services for the UK Government. Our Engineers build and run applications as part of a multi-functional agile delivery teams.

Our Senior JavaScript/Node.JS Software Engineers lead and set the strategy as well as build our products and applications with researchers, testers, architects, analysts and designers as part of multi-functional agile delivery teams.
As a skilled practitioner you will work as a leader within one or more multidisciplinary agile delivery teams, Line managing and mentoring other engineers. You will promote software engineering practices and establishing collaborative team cultures that produce world class software solutions.
You will use your skills in software design principles, patterns and paradigms to produce software products used by millions of people.
You’ll also be part of a supportive Engineering community of practice, with hundreds of engineering experts from across the UK united by passion and purpose. We’ll give you the tools and time to build your capability, with coaching, mentoring, qualifications and formal learning, meetups or whatever else works for you.
Your experience of containerised microservices deployed into cloud environments will mean you can be effective immediately, with a solid understanding of our most common deployment patterns.
We expect our software engineers to practice TDD and as a Senior Software Engineer you will be highly skilled in the practice and promote its use across the engineering community.
