Ignite Facilities are looking to expand our current workforce to adapt to an ever-growing customer base, spread mainly across the commercial sector including, Public Buildings, Retail, Hospitality, Manufacturing and many more.
We are currently looking to recruit a mobile Gas Service Engineer (Commercial Bias) to be based in and around Stoke on Trent.
The role will based from home but will assist an existing team to cover the midlands and the surrounding areas.
This is a permanent, full-time role working 40 hours/week plus regular overtime.

The primary purpose of the role is to carry out both planned and reactive maintenance on a variety of Heating/Gas Plant and Equipment, with small plumbing works if required.

Main Duties/Responsibilities:
- Maintenance of commercial installations including boilers, pumps and pressurisation units
- Service and maintenance of AHUs, FCUs, Warm Air Heating, Radiant Tube Heaters and other general HVAC equipment
- Safety testing/inspection of complete installations, to be followed up with reporting to enable any remedial works to be addressed
- Fault finding of said installations to ensure a swift repair for customers
- Small plumbing works and minor domestic works
- Ensure that all relevant paperwork is completed regarding PPM, reactive and breakdown works and that it is passed without delay to the contract administrator.
- The position will require you to provide engineering support in emergency situations, and to act as instructed by Gas Safe requirements e.g. issuing of warning notices etc. to ensure business and operational safety.
What we are looking for:
Essential Requirements:
- Commercial Gas ACS (current)
- Oil experience even if qualifications have expired
- LPG experience even if qualifications have expired
- Domestic Gas ACS (current)
- High level fault-finding skills
- Proven experience in a similar role
- Flexible approach to working
- Full driving licence
Desirable Requirements:
- Catering Equipment qualifications would be desirable but not essential
- Electrical qualifications would be desirable but not essential
Due to the nature of the environment, it is essential that you have the ability to pass the standard security vetting process. This will include a criminal records check.
