Crynodeb
As a Practice Nurse, you will be a key part of the Practice's clinical team, providing and maintaining a high standard of nursing care for our patient population. You will work within the scope of the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) Code of Professional Conduct, ensuring safe, effective, and compassionate care. This job description outlines the current duties of the role but may be subject to amendments.Clinical Duties Provide general Practice Nursing services in line with best practice and national guidelines. Conduct Chronic Disease Management reviews, including Asthma, Diabetes, and COPD. Administer childhood immunisations and vaccinations. Perform cervical cytology (smear tests). Offer travel health advice and vaccinations. Support contraceptive and sexual health services. Deliver appropriate treatments in line with Practice protocols and Patient Group Directives (PGDs). Adhere to infection control guidelines to maintain patient and staff safety. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in accordance with NMC and local guidelines. Ensure awareness of statutory and local safeguarding procedures, including child protection and vulnerable adult strategies. Collaborate with GPs, healthcare professionals, and the wider Primary Care Team to ensure seamless patient care.
