Job Summary:
We are looking for a dedicated Deputy Manager / SENCO to join our early years team at New Horizons. This is a dual role, supporting the day-to-day running of the setting while leading on SEND provision to ensure every child receives the support they need.
You will be a key member of the leadership team and act as the onsite designated SENCO. The ideal candidate will have strong early years experience, a sound knowledge of the EYFS, and a passion for inclusive practice.
Responsibilities:
Support the Nursery Manager with daily operations and compliance
Lead and support staff to deliver high-quality early years education
Act as the named SENCO for the setting
Identify and support children with special educational needs or disabilities
Work closely with families, local authorities, and external professionals
Maintain accurate documentation for SEN support and EHCPs
Ensure compliance with safeguarding, health and safety, and the SEND Code of Practice
Requirements:
Level 3 or above qualification in Early Years Education (essential)
SENCO qualification or willingness to undertake training (essential)
Experience in a senior or supervisory early years role (Preferred)
Strong knowledge of the EYFS and SEND Code of Practice
Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
