Summary


An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Emergency Preparedness, Resilience and Response (EPRR) and Special Operations department for a proactive and motivated Administrator to join our dynamic team.

We are seeking an individual who is enthusiastic, self-motivated, and thrives in a team environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the department’s operations, often working under pressure and managing multiple priorities. You will need to demonstrate excellent organisational skills, the ability to work independently, and a flexible approach to changing demands.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering confidential and comprehensive administrative support to the EPRR and Special Operations team. Key daily duties include:
• Providing a welcoming and professional point of contact for internal and external enquiries, ensuring a helpful and friendly service that reflects the department’s corporate image.
• Managing correspondence, including emails, phone calls, and documentation, with discretion and efficiency.
• Maintaining accurate records and filing systems, both electronic and paper-based, in line with organisational policies.
• Supporting meetings and eventsby preparing agendas, taking minutes, and circulating papers in good time.
• Handling multiple tasks and priorities, often under pressure, while ensuring deadlines are met and workloads are balanced.
• Working independentlywithin defined policies and procedures, and responding to tasks assigned by the EPRR and Special Operations Coordinator or Senior Management Team.
• Contributing to a resilient and robust administrative function, helping the department operate smoothly and effectively.

This role requires someone who is organised, adaptable, and confident in managing competing demands in a busy environment.
