Part-time Personal Assistant



A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF



I am a 23 year old man living in the Barry area. I have a few interests including cars, I love going to car showrooms to look around. I enjoy music and have an eclectic taste in music ranging from Elvis Presley to Eminem. I would like to go to watch a live band/singer at a pub with my PA as I would really enjoy this. I also like to go to the cinema, Techniquest and many other interactive activities. I would be open to any suggestions. I have a learning disability, ADHD and asthma.



PURPOSE OF JOB



I would like a PA to support me in the community, as well as promote and encourage my independence and to learn new skills.



HOURS OF WORK



10 hours a week to be worked flexibly

Evening and weekend work may apply on occasion



RATES OF PAY



£12.50 per hour

£0.40 per mile

Social and community based activities
Companionship
Keeping me safe
Watching live bands/singers
Suggesting activities
Any other reasonable task
Assisting me and encouraging me to make my own tea / meal preparation support

ABOUT THE JOB



Though a part-time job, this will be a proper job requiring a National Insurance number to be submitted. A trial period will be necessary in the first instance. The wage will be paid four weekly and appropriate holiday pay given.

The post is subject to satisfactory references and a DBS (Police) Check - which will need to be carried out before employment can commence. The cost of this will be met by the Local Authority.

The relevant checks will be carried out to ensure any applicant has the right to work in the UK.
