We are looking ideally a Contractor, but happy to discuss fixed term contract, to help a current project.

JRM, a leading Tier 1 supplier known for delivering bespoke Advanced Engineering (AE) solutions to leading OEMs, is entering an exciting period of expansion. To support this growth, we are looking to hire talented and motivated Workshop Technicians to join our dedicated team in Daventry.

Your responsibilities will include a range of technical tasks such as assembling, stripping, and rebuilding vehicles, rigs, and sub-assemblies, both on-site and at various external locations. You'll collaborate with the Operations and Engineering teams, offering practical support for client and internal projects.

These activities will directly support our performance vehicle operations and contribute to cutting-edge Advanced Engineering projects. As such, this provides a fantastic opportunity to join a growing team, develop your skills and play a key role in the ongoing success of JRM.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

The Workshop Technician will undertake the following duties (but is not limited to):

· Build and assemble prototype vehicles with precision and attention to detail.

· Complete tasks as directed by the Senior Technician or Group Production Manager within assigned timelines.

· Always Ensure strict adherence to the company’s Health & Safety and Quality policies and procedures at all times.

· Maintain clean and organized workspaces in compliance with company standards.

· Wear and use all company-issued Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and uniform as required.

· Monitor, communicate, and manage parts and consumables requirements effectively.

· Support compliance with Health & Safety (H&S) regulations, as well as management and environmental systems such as ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.

PERSONNEL SPECIFICATION

Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate should have the following:

· At least 2 years of proven experience as a build and development technician, with hands-on expertise in sub-assembly and vehicle builds across various vehicle types.

· Experience with powertrain systems, particularly gearbox assemblies, is advantageous, along with basic fabrication and bench-fitting skills (preferred but not essential).

· A relevant qualification, such as Level 3 IVQ (C&G) in Motor Vehicle Engineering or equivalent, is desirable.

· A clean UK driving licence.

Job Types: Temporary, Contract

Contract length: 2 months

Pay: £20.00-£25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
