We are Millennium Staffing, a staffing specialist. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Chef to join our care home team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing nutritious, well-balanced meals that meet the dietary requirements and preferences of our residents, many of whom have specific health-related dietary needs.
Key Responsibilities:
*Plan, prepare, and cook meals following agreed-upon menus and dietary needs.
*Ensure meals are served on time and meet residents' nutritional preferences.
*Cater for individual dietary requirements, including allergies, diabetes, texture-modified diets, and preferences.
*Maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic kitchen environment in compliance with food safety regulations.
*Monitor and manage stock levels, ensuring proper storage and rotation of ingredients.
*Work closely with care staff to understand residents' needs and feedback.
*Maintain accurate records, including food temperatures, cleaning schedules, and stock control.
*Assist in menu planning and contribute to seasonal or themed events.
*Ensure compliance with all health and safety and food hygiene standards (e.g., HACCP).
*Train or supervise kitchen assistants as needed.
