An opportunity has arisen for Practice Receptionists in the Lerwick GP Practice; there are two posts available. The Lerwick Practice is a salaried General Practice, providing medical services to a population of approximately 8,700 patients.

In this busy and demanding post, you will find no two days the same – the Reception staff have a key role in answering queries from members of the public as well as typing letters and referrals. Previous experience of working in a GP Practice would be an advantage but training on the job will be given.

You will be expected to comply with the Induction Standards and Code of Conduct for Healthcare Support Workers within 3 months of commencing your role – details can be viewed on http://www.hcswtoolkit.nes.scot.nhs.uk/resources/hcsw-standards-and-codes/
