EYFS Autism Support Assistant - Early Years SEN Provision - Trafford
Location: Trafford, Greater Manchester
Pay: £105 per day
Contract: Full-time, Term-time only
Start Date: September 2025

Are you passionate about supporting young children with autism at the earliest and most crucial stage of their development?

We are looking to appoint a caring and proactive EYFS Autism Support Assistant to work within the Early Years SEN provision of a mainstream primary school in Trafford. This school has a well-established reputation for inclusive education and has been rated 'Good' by Ofsted. The successful candidate will play a key role in helping children with autism settle into school life, build confidence, and develop key communication and learning skills through structured support.

You will be working closely with individual pupils or small groups of children with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), helping to deliver tailored learning and play-based activities in line with their EHCPs and developmental needs. Working under the guidance of the EYFS lead and SENCo, you will help create a calm, supportive and engaging environment where every child is encouraged to reach their full potential.

This role requires someone with a nurturing approach, strong communication skills, and an understanding of early years development. Experience with autism, sensory needs, or communication tools such as PECS or Makaton is highly desirable. You will need to be flexible, patient, and confident in building trusting relationships with young children and their families.

This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful impact at the very start of a child's educational journey, while being part of a skilled and supportive early years team.

If you're committed to inclusion and passionate about early childhood development, we'd love to hear from you.

Apply now via Senploy to start your journey supporting children with autism in Early Years.
