Location: Nottingham, NG5
Daily Rate: £105 - £115 per day
Contract: Temp to Perm
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am -4:00pm
Start Date: September 2025

About the Role
We're recruiting a committed and resilient Teaching Assistant to support vulnerable children across a welcoming junior setting in Nottingham. This full-time role includes supporting pupils both in the classroom and through targeted interventions outside of class. You'll play a key role in promoting emotional wellbeing and engagement with learning, working closely with teachers, SENCO, and pastoral teams.
A key part of the role also includes lunchtime support (12:40-1:10pm daily), helping pupils positively interact during breaktimes.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide individual and small group support to pupils with SEMH needs
- Assist with classroom learning under the guidance of the teacher
- Promote consistent routines and positive behaviour strategies
- Support pupils in regulating emotions and engaging in their learning
- Facilitate safe and inclusive play during lunchtime
- Build strong relationships with staff, pupils, and families
What We're Looking For
- Experience supporting children with challenging behaviour or additional needs
- Calm, empathetic, and confident in de-escalating situations
- Skilled in setting boundaries and promoting emotional development
- Level 2 or 3 TA qualification (or equivalent experience)
- Strong communication skills and a team player mindset
- Understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures
