What's involved with this role:

Job Title: Children's Services Area Manager

Ref: E Riding 5272006

Pay rate: £30.30 per hour PAYE



The role:

We are seeking an experienced and competent Service Manager for the Fostering and Adoption Service.



Key responsibilities:

Responsible for line managing four Fostering Team Managers and one Adoption Manager
Attend Management meetings with Senior Managers
Cover the Area Manager for Children Looked After and Leaving Care when they are on annual leave
Improve performance and compliance
Provide monthly reports on performance and compliance



What the client is looking for:

DIPSW or equivalent Social Work degree
Extensive knowledge of childcare legislation and guidance
Management experience preferably with a management qualification
Change management experience
Financial management and commissioning experience
Problem solving skills
Ability to analyse the future to identify options for service delivery
Ability to create a development culture
Ability to understand the need for change and embrace change
Ability to take responsibility for improvement
Use technology to manage information
Understands the corporate approach to technology application, development and support
Experience of enabling others to produce excellent quality of practice and to improve performance
