The Role
As the Assistant Café Manager, you’ll support the Café Manager in running the day-to-day operations of the shop. From helping lead the team to keeping things running smoothly, you’ll play a crucial role in delivering outstanding customer service and maintaining our high standards.

Key Responsibilities
• Team Support & Training: Assist with onboarding, coaching, and mentoring team members to deliver excellent service.
• Operational Excellence: Help oversee daily shop operations, including cleanliness, presentation, and workflow.
• Customer Service: Be a friendly, visible presence on the shop floor—ensuring every customer has a fantastic experience.
• Inventory Support: Support stock control processes including deliveries, stock rotation, and minimising waste.
• Marketing & Social Media: Contribute to local marketing activities, including managing social media posts and in-store promotions.
• Problem-Solving: Step in to resolve minor issues, escalate when needed, and keep things moving smoothly.
• Compliance & Safety: Ensure health & safety and food hygiene standards are always upheld.

What We’re Looking For
• Experience in a café, restaurant, or hospitality setting (supervisory or team leader experience preferred).
• Passionate about food, drink, and delivering top-tier customer service.
• Confident communicator with strong people skills.
• Organised, responsible, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to take initiative and support the Café Manager in achieving business goals.
• Willingness to work flexibly across weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
