Mobile Test & Inspection Electrician
Location: Croydon (Regional Coverage)
Salary: £40,000 basic | OTE £50,000 + benefits

About the Role:
Our client is looking for an experienced and reliable Electrical Tester to join their team. The successful candidate will carry out Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs) across commercial and industrial sites, ensuring all electrical systems are safe, compliant and properly maintained.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs) in commercial and industrial environments.

  • Inspect and test wiring, circuits, switchgear, and control equipment.

  • Identify and document defects, non-compliance issues and potential safety hazards.

  • Provide clear reports with recommendations for remedial actions.

  • Ensure all inspections meet BS 7671, IET Wiring Regulations and other relevant standards.

  • Keep up to date with industry standards and legislation.

  • Communicate clearly with clients, explaining findings and answering questions.

  • Maintain and calibrate inspection tools and equipment.

  • Follow company policies, procedures and health and safety requirements.

  • Take part in ongoing training and development.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in electrical inspection or similar role.

  • City & Guilds 2391-52 (or equivalent) in Inspection and Testing.

  • NVQ Level 3.

  • 18th Edition.

  • Good knowledge of BS 7671 and IET Wiring Regulations.

  • Experience with electrical systems in commercial and industrial settings.

  • Proficient with electrical testing equipment and reporting software.

  • Good written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong attention to detail.

  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

  • Valid UK driving licence.
