Crynodeb
• This post has been created to allow the development of a Nurse Led Minor Surgery service, to address waiting times needs within the speciality and to enable nurses to develop in an advanced capacity.
• Provide professional and operational CNS Minor Skin Surgery service to the Dermatology Department across sites.
• Work within the wider dermatology service such as nurse-led intralesional steroid injection clinic, and virtual result clinic.
• Support the skin cancer clinics as a keyworker, as well as perform post PDT or topical chemotherapy treatment review of pre-cancerous and non-melanoma skin cancer patients.
• The post holder has professional and managerial responsibility for patients referred to this Nurse Led Clinic.
• Liaise with clinical team regarding clinical decision.
• Understand budgetary and financial responsibilities
• Liaise with other staff regarding procurement and sterile service.
• Provide information and advice at all stages of the client pathway, communicating complex condition related information, including diagnoses, to clients/carers and relatives within scope of professional practice.
• Compliance with dispensing medications under PGD or if Non-Medical Prescriber, following NMC guidance.
