If you’re driven by a strong service ethos, aligned with MaPS values, and eager to grow professionally while delivering meaningful support, we’d love to hear from you.

  • Contribute towards shared technical know-how in the office
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of our service through ad hoc project work
  • Undertake outreach at pension industry or individual corporate events to provide guidance on general or specific pension issues
  • Attend meetings and workshops etc., within the scope of the role
  • Any other ad-hoc duties to help meet the needs of the business

You will be joining our team of pension specialists providing the above services to the public between the times of 8.00am to 8.00pm Monday to Friday and 9.00am to 1.00pm on Saturdays.

As a flexible employer we are open to discuss what work patterns are mutually beneficial to meet our needs.

You will need to demonstrate the following skills and experience.

  • An understanding and appreciation of wider retirement issues and non-pension assets, including state benefits
  • Familiarity with The Pensions Regulator guidelines, tax implications, and retirement planning rules
  • Must be good at dealing with members of the public, translating complex ideas and topics into clear English
  • A commitment to on-going personal and professional development; we may require you to undertake training within the scope of the role
  • Experience of dealing with members of the public
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills and ability to translate complex ideas and topics into plain language
  • Excellent telephone manner
  • Formal qualifications with the CII or PMI would be beneficial.
