Healthcare Support Worker (Maternity) (Ref 219473)
Substantive, Full Time – 37 hours per week
Band 3 - Salary Range £28.011 – £30,230 per annum
Distant Island Allowance of £2,482 per annum (pro rata)
We have a vacancy for a Healthcare Support Worker at Gilbert Bain Hospital.
This is a varied role and encompasses supporting women and their families during the antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal period. The maternity unit is open 24/7 therefore the post holder will be expected to support the rota to ensure the unit is covered. The post holder will receive training in providing breast feeding support and will provide this support in both hospital and community settings, as well as receiving phlebotomy training to support the pregnancy screening programmes.

To work in the United Kingdom, there is a legal requirement for an individual to demonstrate that they have the relevant permission to work in the country. This permission is, without exception, granted by the UK Visa and Immigrations Service.
