We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and committed individual to join our Clinical Health Psychology and Neuropsychology team. The department is based at Charing Cross hospital and provides services to the Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust, which includes the North West London Regional Neurosciences Centre.

We are looking to recruit an HCPC-registered, specialist clinical psychologist/neuropsychologist to play a key role in the provision of the neuropsychology service to the Charing Cross Neurorehabilitation Unit (CNRU). Specialist neuropsychology supervision is provided by a more senior psychologist.

There are opportunities for service development, staff consultation and training; research and audit. We offer specialist supervision and full funding for the specialist qualification in clinical neuropsychology.

This post is advertised at both Band 7 and 8a. If starting at Band 7, you will be able to progress to a Band 8a role within 18-24 months post-qualification on the condition of meeting a range of competencies. Clinicians who are already Band 8a would be appointed at an equivalent level if they meet the required competencies

The post holder will be a member of the Clinical Health Psychology and Neuropsychology department, consisting of 25 whole time equivalent staff working across a broad range of specialties within the Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust. The department is a friendly, supportive place to work, committed to clinical supervision, continuing professional development and career progression.

Together with an experienced, existing Principal Clinical Psychologist and an Assistant Psychologist, the post holder will play a key role in the provision of a comprehensive neuropsychology service to the CNRU. CNRU is a 15 bed, level 2 neurorehabilitation ward with admissions ranging from 4-12 weeks. Four of the beds are for level 1 patients - those with highly complex needs.

The Clinical Psychologists are highly valued members of CNRU’s enthusiastic and friendly MDT. There are strong links to psychologists working in other parts of the service enabling effective communication and good continuity of care.
