Asfordby Football Club [AFC] would like to appoint an Operations Manager. This is a permanent part-time post.
Contract start date: 1st September 2025
Working Hours: 20 hours per week*
Worker Type: Onsite Worker
Salary: Starting Salary is £28,860 per annum (pro rata for part-time)
Location: Asfordby Football Club
Holiday allowance: 5.6 weeks per annum (pro rata for part-time)
*Full time equivalent is 37 hours.
JOB DETAILS
AFC is a thriving grassroots football club, providing facilities for both members and the wider community. This post will oversee the clubhouse and sports hall, bar, catering and all hire operations [internal and external facilities] so that it is commercially successful and consistently exceeds our customers’ expectations. The post is responsible for developing the commercial operations to increase bar opening hours, increase hire of facilities and increase income generation whilst balancing staffing and stock budgets. The post will supervise a small team of kitchen and bar staff and the contracted groundsmen and will be accountable to the AFC Board of Trustees.
WHAT SKILLS ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We are looking for a team player with in-depth knowledge of the commercial catering industry who can develop the team to deliver a consistent exceptional service for our members, customers and stakeholders.
THE ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
· Knowledge and experience of the catering and beverage industry.
· Knowledge and experience of managerial duties including payroll and balancing budgets.
· Experience of managing a team across a range of duties.
· Ability to communicate clearly and work effectively under pressure with excellent prioritisation and time-management skills.
