Senior Support Worker – Buckshaw Retirement Village, Chorley
Location: Buckshaw Retirement Village, Buckshaw Village
Pay: £12.42 per hour
Hours: 14 hours per week
Schedule: Fixed shift rota (two-week rolling) – weekend availability essential
We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and compassionate Senior Support Worker to join our dedicated HICA at Home team. This role is perfect for someone ready to take the next step in their care career and lead by example in delivering high-quality, person-centred care.
About the Role:
As a Senior Home Care Assistant, you’ll:
Work alongside a Team Manager as part of a team of contract and domiciliary carers
Act as second response to emergencies and step up in the Team Manager’s absence
Deliver timed care calls under one roof at Buckshaw Retirement Village
Supervise staff, administer medication, and contribute to care plans, assessments, and reviews
Support residents with dignity, compassion, and respect for their individual needs
What We’re Looking For:
NVQ Level 2 or 3 / Advanced Diploma in Health & Social Care
Experience in elderly care and a good understanding of clinical care
A warm, compassionate approach and commitment to high standards
Strong leadership and communication skills.
