Hexagon Recruitment are proud to be recruiting on behalf of our client for a Project Logistics Coordinator to join their Aberdeen-based operations team. This role supports the logistics and freight forwarding requirements of complex Industrial Projects within the Oil & Gas and Energy sectors.

Role Overview

As a Project Logistics Coordinator, you will be responsible for providing end-to-end logistics solutions, ensuring full compliance with regulatory requirements (CAA, TAPA, HMRC, GDP, IATA) and delivering exceptional service across multi-modal international transport operations. The role requires a flexible and proactive approach to meet customer deadlines in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and process customer purchase orders and delivery schedules

  
  

• Provide high-level customer service in line with global freight forwarding standards

  
  

• Liaise with suppliers on readiness and terms of sale

  
  

• Coordinate cargo collections, deliveries, and packing arrangements

  
  

• Manage and verify export documentation for compliance and accuracy

  
  

• Consolidate cargo for export via air, sea, and road

  
  

• Book transport with carriers and maintain clear shipping records

  
  

• Operate internal and external IT tracking systems

  
  

• Ensure compliance with H&S, security, and customs procedures

  
  

• Maintain communication with UK offices, warehouse teams, and global branches

  
  

• Proactively handle operational issues or delays

  
  

• Complete invoicing and maintain accurate financial records (costs and accruals)

  
  

• Work flexible hours when required to meet shipping deadlines

  
  Candidate Profile

  Education & Qualifications

  • GCSEs / O Levels or A Level standard (or equivalent)

    
    

    Experience & Knowledge

    • Minimum 3 years in freight forwarding or logistics (ideally in project cargo or Oil & Gas)

      
      

    • Strong understanding of international air, sea, and road freight

      
      

    • Experience with UK customs procedures essential

      
      

    • Familiarity with heavy cargo or offshore wind/logistics projects is desirable

      
      

    • Experience with freight charters (air/sea) is a plus

      
      

    • Fluency in French or another European language is advantageous

      
      

    • Commercial awareness and customer-facing experience preferred
